About Me

At Affect Behavioral Health, Nikole Copeland believes that everyone deserves to feel heard, seen, and valued. She is dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing space where clients can express themselves, embrace vulnerability, and grow.

Nikole holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Troy University, where she also minored in Sociology. She furthered her education with a Master of Science in Counseling from The University of Alabama in Birmingham, concentrating in Marriage and Family and earning a Certificate in Clinical Mental Health.

Guided by empathy, understanding, honesty, and autonomy, Nikole tailors her approach to meet the unique needs of individuals, couples, and families. She utilizes a variety of techniques, including client-centered, systems, and relational approaches, and incorporates play therapy and creative methods like art and music when working with children and adolescents.

Nikole understands that challenges become more manageable when we process our feelings together. She is committed to being a supportive partner through life's obstacles, ensuring that no one faces difficulties alone.

Inspired by Fred Rogers, she emphasizes that "anything that is human is mentionable," believing that sharing our feelings can make the overwhelming more manageable. Nikole is also dedicated to ongoing training and education, continually enhancing her ability to serve her clients effectively. Whether you're navigating personal challenges or seeking growth, Nikole is here to guide you on your journey.

She works with children, teens, adults, couples, and families.
